LG Electronics: Revolutionising HVAC Globally and in the UK
LG Electronics has made a significant stride in the global HVAC market, including the UK, with its expanded portfolio, featuring higher energy-efficient heat pumps, cutting-edge inverter compressor technologies, and intuitive control and management solutions, unveiled at the annual HVAC conference, AHR 2023.
A standout product at the HVAC booth is the LG Multi V™ i, an all-electric VRF cooling and heating solution equipped with the company’s AI Engine. This next-generation VRF system, featuring Edge computing architecture and intelligent operation based on real-time weather conditions, also offers remote software and firmware upgradability. The Multi V i, suitable for a broad spectrum of commercial applications, provides options to maximize energy efficiency and minimize operational costs.
The LG Inverter Scroll Heat Pump Chiller, designed for both cooling and heating, sets a new benchmark in the air-cooled chiller category. With an impressive integrated part load value (IPLV) of 19.46, the chiller is versatile and can be used in various sectors and scenarios. Its performance and versatility are attributed to key components such as LG’s inverter technology, which allows a precise and efficient response to load demand and industry-leading low-ambient, high-efficiency heating.
The LG Dedicated Outdoor Air System (DOAS), an AHR 2022 Innovation Award winner in the ventilation category, is a commercial ventilation system that offers effective dehumidification, cooling, and heating. The LG Therma V™ Air to Water Heat Pump (AWHP) solution, an excellent replacement for a domestic-use gas boiler, provides efficient, reliable heating, cooling, and hot water supply.
LG’s smart home platform, the LG ThinQ™ app, enables customers to remotely control and monitor their LG HVAC residential solutions and LG home appliances. The app also features LG ThinQ Smart Diagnosis for maintaining product performance and making direct inquiries to LG system experts.
LG’s Component Solutions booth at AHR 2023 showcases the company’s new Inverter compressors that utilize low-GWP refrigerants, R454B and R32, complying with new U.S. regulations on refrigerant use effective from 2025.
“Heat pumps will continue to gain momentum in the global HVAC market in 2023, and our advanced VRF technology will enable us to take full advantage of this,” said James Lee, head of the Air Solution Business Unit at LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company. “We will continue to introduce advanced HVAC solutions designed to maximize customer value and expand our presence in the global air conditioning market, including the UK.”
